Marking 11000 means this is the 11000th bus of KSRTC, after every 1000 buses the next bus will be marked with the total number of KSRTC buses (existing + scrapped) instead of the serial number. The latest addition to this group is 15000, which belongs to EKM depot. In addition to the RTO registration number, KSRTC maintains its own pattern to identify its buses. This numbering pattern is a combination of series number + workshop code. eg: RAC 999 means RA is the series code and C stands for central works where the bus body is built, and 999 is the bus serial number. The latest series number is RN.
